Frequently Asked Questions
-
We provide every kind of editing necessary to get your book from first concept to published manuscript.
Our most common offers include the editorial assessment, which provides an overall look at a finished draft before moving to the next steps, and the proofread, which is the last careful look at a manuscript before it is formatted for print.
Another big offer is the copy edit, which takes care of the clean-up in the middle of the editing process.

An editorial assessment provides high-level feedback on plot, pacing, and voice.
We start by reading your full manuscript without making any changes to it.
Then, we provide you with a two-to-three-page document that includes an overall professional perspective of your work’s strengths and weaknesses along with suggestions for improvement and recommendations on steps to complete it.
When requested, we are happy to include a post-assessment conversation about any remaining questions or concerns you may have.

Every writer needs a good proofread, since that is the best way to catch any small errors and typos that might have been overlooked during the in-depth writing and editing processes.
Beyond that, the best way to determine exactly what you need is to have a professional take a look at your full manuscript.
Some authors need help with their overall structure (a developmental edit) while others need assistance with the flow of their sentences (a copy/line edit).
Still others may not need a lot of editing at all, so the proofread will be just fine.
